VISIT PHILADELPHIA was one of the first destination marketing organizations (DMOs) to collaborate with Miles Partnership on the Google DMO Partnership Program.
The goal: help improve the quality and quantity of information that prospective visitors can find about Philadelphia while planning travel via Google.
Google My Business is a free tool to help businesses manage their online presence on Google. By verifying and editing their information, businesses can help visitors and locals find them and tell the story of their business — and Philadelphia. Check the performance of your Google My Business listing here .
The first step is to verify the business. How can businesses tell if they need to be verified?
Google your business name and look at the knowledge panel on the right side of the screen. If it says “Own this business?” or “Claim this business,” your business is not verified.
VISIT PHILADELPHIA can instantly verify your business in-person. All you need is your Google account login and a utility bill, tax letter or business registration certificate. Please contact [email protected] if you need help verifying your business.
After that, here are a few additional things you can do:
