The Experience
A boat rental concession has canoes, motorboats, rowboats, sailboats, paddleboats and pontoon boats during the summer season. Call directly to the boat rental for applicable rates and regulations.
There are more than 20 miles of hiking trails traversing Nockamixon State Park.
The lake is a warm-water fishery. Commons species are walleye, muskellunge, pickerel, smallmouth and largemouth bass, striped bass hybrids, channel catfish, carp and various types of panfish.
Picnic tables and charcoal grills are in several areas of the park and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
There are three miles of hiking trails, a 2.8-mile bicycle trail, and 20 miles of equestrian trails.
You’ll need your own boat for serious sailing, but conveniently there’s a boat rental company onsite. Note: There’s no swimming in the lake itself.

Lake Nockamixon is classified as a Trophy Bass Lake and regularly hosts bass tournaments. The park is also home to bald eagles as well as a great blue heron rookery.
Except for the cabin area, fishing pier and marina, the park closes at sunset. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited and pets must be leashed.
