The Experience
Each section of the zoo offers a distinct atmosphere.
Treetop Adventures features more than 50 challenge games and zip lines that span up to 50 feet above the ground in the trees of the zoo – not to mention Pennsylvania’s only location to zip line over animal exhibits!
Elmwood Park Zoo welcomes more than half of a million visitors each year.
Majestic Predators transports guests deep into jungles, forests and arroyos, where they encounter various predators, including one of nature’s most elusive felines: the jaguar.
In The Wildlife Lodge, visitors discover dozens of reptiles and amphibians, many of which are rare and endangered, including Blue Poison Dart Frogs, Boa Constrictors and Red-Footed Tortoises.
Eagle Canyon features an open-air exhibit and is home to bald eagles and golden eagles.
Playful North American River Otters entertain guests for hours inside The Wetlands, an open-air walk-through exhibit featuring pools and lush vegetation.
And guests can enjoy hand-feeding giraffes at the Taphouse 23 Giraffe Experience, as well as feeding America’s national mammal at the Xfinity Bison Experience.

Visitors can bring their own snacks to enjoy at the zoo’s many picnic locations or indulge in concession vendors, which offer sandwiches, wraps, salads, ice cream and more.
Guests 21 and over can enjoy exclusive drafts of craft beer at the Zoo Brew Bar & Beer Garden. The lounge area gives guests room to relax and play games while enjoying their beverage.

Young guests can enjoy playtime at the Thomas Kimmel Playground, take a whirl on a beautiful, zoo-themed carousel, learn about the plight of the American Bison in a repurposed train caboose, feed the giraffes, catch an educational program in the Zoo Bowl Theater and explore the life cycle of a butterfly on the zoo’s Caterpillar Train.
