The annual Blue Cross Broad Street Run is a 10-mile, point-to-point course running from North Philadelphia to the Philadelphia Navy Yard on the Delaware River waterfront in South Philadelphia.

Participants pass many of the city’s most important landmarks along the way, including Temple University, City Hall, Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, The Avenue of the Arts and the Philadelphia stadium complex .

Expect record-breaking times and a field of more than 27,500 runners on this USATF-certified course, which rates as one of the fastest in the country by Runner’s World magazine.

The 2022 run is set take place in on Sunday, May 1, 2022 .

The Experience

Spectators’ Info
While spectators are encouraged to watch on TV, neighbors, family and friends are sure to turn out to cheer on the runners.

Runners’ Info
There are water stations, aid stations, portable restrooms, entertainment and numerous ambulances on the course. The course is traffic-free in the southbound lanes and monitored by police.
