Goal!

Soccer in Philly is on a roll. After a totally dominant regular season, the Philadelphia Union are set to play for the 2022 MLS Championship in Los Angeles on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 4 p.m.

And earlier this year, Philly scored a HUGE win after being chosen as a host city for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Indeed, the sport of soccer has never been hotter in Philadelphia.

Looking to catch the action live or at a rowdy soccer bar? Read on for the top places to catch soccer action in Philadelphia.

Where to Cheer on the Philadelphia Union in the MLS Championship

The Philadelphia Union — who led the Eastern Conference practically wire to wire this season — pulled off an epic win in Chester to advance to the MLS Championship game. Incredible!

The game is set to take place in Los Angeles on Saturday, November 5, 2022, but fans can head to one of four official watch parties to cheer on the boys in blue.

Those looking to watch the game on familiar grounds at Subaru Park need to register for a ticket , while an RSVP is required for the watch parties at XFINITY Live!, Chickie’s & Pete’s in Malvern and P.J. Whelihan’s in Downingtown.

The Sons of Ben shared 13 more sports bars, restaurants and breweries to watch as well, including Gran Caffe L’Aquila, Yards Brewing Company, Brauhaus Schmitz and more.

Philadelphia International Unity Cup

Each year, Philadelphia’s Parks and Recreation Department hosts a citywide international soccer tournament to unite immigrant communities and foster a sense of civic pride.

In 2022, more than 1,200 players representing 48 countries participated in the tournament, which culminated in a championship match between the United States and Liberia.

Congratulations to Team USA on their 5-3 victory!

Stay tuned for information on the 2023 International Unity Cup, which will kick off in summer 2023.
