PHILADELPHIA, January 31, 2023 – To accompany Philadelphia’s new tourism campaign “Come for Philadelphia. Stay for Philly,” Visit Philadelphia ® is debuting a first-of-its kind destination loyalty program called Philly Rewards. The program offers limited-edition merchandise and exclusive experiences designed to incentivize frequent trips to Philadelphia.

“When we were developing our new campaign with the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau (PHLCVB), we did research that revealed that 79% of leisure visitors come back to visit Philadelphia again — that’s 27% more than the U.S. average,” said Neil Frauenglass, chief marketing officer, VISIT PHILADELPHIA. “We knew we needed to capitalize on this fact and do something that would entice and reward return visitation even more, and that’s how Philly Rewards was born.” (Sources: Longwood International and IPSOS)

The Prizes & Points System :

Philly Rewards does just what it says: rewards people for discovering the best of what Philly has to offer. People who sign up for the pass can check into nearly 200 Philadelphia region museums, attractions, historic sites, parks and hotels, and earn 100 points for each place they check into (only one check-in per location is permitted). The more they visit and check in, the more points they accrue for use toward cool Philly swag:

  • Limited-edition Philly T-shirt (two options): 2,000 points
  • Philly neighborhood-themed tote bag: 2,500 points

Pass users who reach the 2,000-point milestone will be entered to win exclusive experiences. First up: a VIP Mural Arts Philadelphia (MAP) Experience, featuring a private tour of Center City murals with Jane Golden, founder and executive director of the nation’s largest public art program, and a $150 Schulson Collective gift card. Additional experiences, including one with the Philadelphia Eagles, will be added to the program in the future.

How To Secure & Use A Philly Rewards Pass :

  • Step 1: Those interested in earning rewards can sign up for the pass at visitphilly.com/rewards .
  • Step 2: Once signup is complete, the passport will be delivered to the user via text and email and will be immediately available for use. No app download necessary. The pass can be saved to a phone’s home screen for easy one-tap access.
  • Step 3: Pass users can begin exploring and racking up points as they go as long as location services are enabled on their mobile devices.

About The Campaign :

The Philly Rewards program is a component of Visit Philadelphia and the PHLCVB’s first-ever joint destination marketing campaign, “Come for Philadelphia. Stay for Philly.” The fun, lighthearted campaign puts the city’s confidence and attitude at the forefront as it aims to drive visitation to the region across all travel segments — leisure, business and group — in 2023 and in the lead up to 2026, when the city will host major activities around America250, the FIFA World Cup and the MLB All-Star Game.

VISIT PHILADELPHIA ® is our name and our mission. As the region’s official tourism marketing agency, we build Greater Philadelphia’s image, drive visitation and boost the economy.

On Greater Philadelphia’s official visitor website, visitphilly.com , visitors can explore things to do, upcoming events, themed itineraries and hotel packages.
